 Jamie Ansbro - He's got the X Factor
Leeds singer Jamie Ansbro has his
sights set high. Aged only 18,
he has already won talent competitions that have netted him prizes
including a car
and cash.
This year Jamie entered ITV's
X Factor and was selected from thousands
to appear in the last 180 of the Manchester auditions. Jamie met presenter
Dermot O'Leary before performing in front of the judges - Louis Walsh,
Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and of course, Simon
Cowell.
Jamie gave a fantastic rendition of 'Don't
Let The Sun Go Down On Me' and received some great comments from the judges - and, although he was told that he'd not
quite made the live stages this year, they assured him that he's a great singer with a big future. Simon Cowell told Jamie
on his exit from the stage, that he must come back next year!
Since then - Jamie has won a heat in
a worldwide competition for actors, models and singers meaning that he has been invited to a high profile 6 day convention
and competition final in Disneyland, Paris.

CASIN-OKE 2009 - Entries accepted NOW
Each year, PMA Event Management proudly
host a 'Casin-Oke' fantastic singing competition to find the 'Best Singer in Leeds'.
Our 2008 champion is Leroy Matthews. We are now looking for competitors to take part in heats for Casin-Oke
2009 which will begin in April 2009. If you'd like to enter - simply fill in the online entry form below. (Over 18's only).
*The winning prize for 2009 is not yet known

Winner - Leroy Matthews
Congratulations to Leroy who became Casin-Oke 2008 champion recently at a prestigious Grand Final
at Gala Casino, Leeds.
The standard was extremely high and all the finalists were winners in their own right.
Nobody
deserved to lose, but in the tradition of true competiton our guest judging panel selected Leroy by the smallest of margins.
Gala Casino hospitality manager Peris Tsanos presented the awards - 1st place of £700 to
Leroy, our runner-up was Elaine Parker who received £200, and 3rd place of £100 was awarded to Lauren Cooper.
Competition Rules

All contestants in CASIN-OKE agree to abide by the competition rules

All contestants must be at least 18 years old

The competition will take place on Thursday evenings (8pm-11pm) at Gala Casino, Wellington
Bridge Street, Leeds
-
All contestants must be dressed according to Gala Casino rules (smart/casual, no sportswear
or ripped denim)

All contestants must adhere to Gala Casino rules at all times
-
Each singer will sing to either the CASIN-OKE DJ's karaoke backing tracks, or may use their
own backing music on CD format only.

Judging will take place by a panel of judges selected at Gala Casino and PMA Event Management's
discretion
-
Each singer will receive marks from each judge based on the following criteria: 80% vocal quality
20% audience reaction

The number of singers in each heat, and later rounds, plus the number of singers who will qualify
will be notified to the contestants in advance of the first performance
-
The judges decision is final, and there is no right of appeal
-
Prizes will be awarded following the Grand Final and will be paid in High Street Vouchers

Gala Casino reserve the right to withdraw or discontinue the CASIN-OKE competition at any time
